A ski for the fun-loving woman who is looking for a sporty, playful, fatigue-free day exploring the entire mountain, in all conditions.
If you've recently discovered the unrivaled exhilaration of skiing, then the Flair 79 may be your ticket to freedom. The construction is a combination of ease and stability. The 3D.Ridge technology and Center Sidewall significantly reduce weight across the length of the ski, while keeping the power underfoot, where a thin layer of steel adds strength. Each turn is easily initiated, without sacrificing grip, thanks to the extended tip and tail rocker. Power transfer is prioritized by the iPT Wideride binding system; plus the GripWalk compatibility brings a new level of ski boot comfort. With all the thoughts put into it and a slightly wider waist, the Flair 79 opens up more terrain, in more conditions, than any other ski in the Flair lineup.
ROCKER: XTD Tip & Tail Rocker
CORE: Dual Woodcore
BASE: P-Tex 2100
RECOMMENDED BINDING: iPT WR XL 11 TCX GW Lady
SKIING LEVEL: Intermediate, Advanced
Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and keep stability where necessary.
Our 3D.Ridge technology - is probably the most extreme and effective construction technique that currently exists. It has become a symbol of VÖLKL lightweight construction.
The distinctive characteristic of this technology is a raised central ridge that sharply levels out towards the edges, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertial mass around the fulcrum to a minimum and significantly enhances the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center ridge allows for a precise dimensioning of the hardness distribution, which leads to an especially harmonious flex on the ski. Despite the weight savings, the 3D.Ridge ensures that there are no compromises in the ski's durability and elasticity.
POWERED BY STEEL
A steel layer in the ski provides very good durability, controlled flex, and smooth skiing at faster speeds.
Direct and strong power transmission with partial sidewalls in the center of the ski, combined with the superslim 3D.Ridge construction.
Understanding boot and binding compatibility can be complicated. Alpine or Alpine Touring? ISO what?
With multiple boot/binding standards designed for different applications and skier types, finding the right gear requires more knowledge and expertise than ever before.
